MONDAY 25 JANUARY 2010

IT HAS BEEN DISCUSSED AND AGREED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OVER THE WEEKEND PERIOD, THAT DENNIS HILL SHOULD NO LONGER REMAIN IN PLACE AS FIRST TEAM MANAGER OF THE CLUB.

THE DECISION WAS NOT AN EASY ONE FOR ALL INVOLVED. WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK DENNIS FOR HIS TIME AT THE CLUB AND WISH HIM WELL, ALTHOUGH HE WILL REMAIN INVOLVED WITH THE CLUB AT YOUTH LEVEL.

Welcome to the official website of the newly formed AFC Darwen.
We are a new club who formed in the 2009 Off-season to replace the old Darwen Football Club who unfortunately went out of business in May 2009.
The club formed after several weeks of hard work from a dedicated group of people intent on ensuring football could still be played in Darwen.
AFC Darwen will be competing in the West Lancashire Premier Division for the 2009/10 season.
